What Happened to Alex Fraser?
On the fateful day, officers from the Delta Police Department and Delta Police Traffic Unit responded to distressing reports of a man threatening to jump off the Alex Fraser Bridge. Despite their negotiations and pleas, the man ultimately chose not to step back from the edge. He jumped from the bridge, landing on HWY 17 where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident left an indelible mark on those who witnessed it, with motorists recalling the trauma of seeing the man’s body by the roadside.

Life can be tough, especially these days under the govt we have been living under. Today on my way to work crossing the Fraser River onto Annacis Island the traffic on the Alex Fraser Bridge came to a stop. Then slowly starts to move as 3 lanes are funneled into one. I saw the cops, saw a black Ford f150 pulled off the the side up ahead. As We drive by the scene I wonder, “why so many cops for one vehicle pulled over”. And that’s when I seen something I hoped I’d only ever see in the movies. An older (mid to late 50’s) well dressed clean cut gentleman….on the other side of the hand rail. This guy was going through something so horrific he felt the need to end his life…..possibly family he would be hurting, kids, grandkids maybe….who knows….but I’m sure someone would miss him. Life is tough …but we need to keep our minds tougher. Remember the hard times are moments, THEY WILL PASS…. my phone will ALWAYS be on for anyone who needs to talk…. Otherwise call a loved one, call someone to talk with you, to get you through this moment….life is worth it, YOU ARE WORTH IT. Unfortunately for this gentleman he didn’t reach out. I found out a half hour later, he fell to the highway below him and passed. You can’t reverse this….it’s done. So please, stop, take a breath and reach out before you do something you can’t reverse.
