Union Minister Smriti Irani wished everyone on the occasion of Durga Ashtami with a new picture that featured herself. The new photo the union minister shared on Instagram features her playing the conch (seashell horn). Ronit Roy, who worked with Smriti Irani in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, commented on her post.
“Durgaashtami greetings to all. May Ma bless you with prosperity, and may we pray at her feet for good health and happiness for all whom we love and care for. May her kindness be bestowed on all beings,” Smriti Irani wrote.

Durga Ashtami, also known as Maha Ashtami, is the eighth day of Navratri or Durga Puja. This year, it is being celebrated on October 22. Devotees perform Kanya or Kumari Puja, worshipping young girls as incarnations of Maa Shakti.
